Emissions ReductionThrough investments in clean technologies and operational efficiencies, Hygain® has reduced direct emissions across its operations by 42% since 2019.
Solar Energy ProductionLarge-scale solar installations at our Officer (VIC) facility now generates over 475,000kWh of clean energy annually — enough to power more than 90 average Australian homes each year.
Waste ManagementHygain® has implemented recycling programs and is introducing more sustainable packaging to reduce waste across its sites.
Big Bag Recovery PartnershipTo further reduce industrial waste, Hygain® has partnered with Big Bag Recovery, a national program dedicated to the responsible recycling of plastic packaging. Through this initiative, WPP & LDPE packaging used in internal operations are baled and processed for reuse, diverting around 42 tonnes of plastic from landfill every year.
Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) MembershipHygain® is an active member of APCO, reporting annually on packaging use and progress against a detailed action plan. Under APCO’s national sustainability framework, Hygain®’s performance is rated “Leading”.
