Jo Caldwell

Jo Caldwell lives on a 300 acre property in the picturesque Upper Hunter region in NSW.

Jo's passion for barrel racing has become a family pursuit, with Jo's children and husband also successful in Rodeo Events.

Children Georgia & Austin compete in barrel racing. Husband Tony is a Saddle Bronc competitor and recently crowned 2021 Mount Isa Champion.

Jo started riding at an early age and showed Paints as a child. She discovered rodeoing in 2004, initially entering in Novice Barrel Racing events. From there, her interests expanded to Steer Undecorating and Breakaway Roping.

Jo's career has seen her team up with a number of memorable horses, including KD Wally Whiskers (aka Stick), County Roc, and Bronze Tommy.

Stick and Bronze Tommy took Jo to win her first Open Australian Titles in 2009 & 2010 in the ABCRA.

County Roc helped Jo claim Mount Isa titles, along with many other victories.

Stick is now teaching Jo's daughter Georgia how to ride, continuing a successful family legacy for what is sure to be an exciting future.
