Janet Seccull

Janet Seccull is renowned for training and producing quality dressage horses.

Her background is diverse, with experience extending to polo ponies, hunting horses, thoroughbreds and showjumpers.

She is not one to shy away from a challenge and has ridden the "roughies." Janet takes the time to understand each horse's unique traits and from there, she nurtures their ability into something truly special.

As a young rider, Janet was fortunate to be taken under the wing of Kerry and Art Uytendaal. Art was a master of turning around horses that came to him with issues. Janet became the test pilot when Art scaled back his time in the saddle.  It was with such horses that Janet gained an appreciation of patience.

Janet is now coached by Lone Joergensen and has specialized in dressage horses; from the breaking in stage, right up to the peak of competition.

A few words from Janet:

"I have always enjoyed the challenge of a difficult horse as long as I can take the time - and time is what it takes.

"I love producing horses, gaining their friendship, becoming a partnership, trying to do it correctly and doing the best that I can."
